Peggy Toole for Kaufman From her earliest memories of the visiting art museums as a toddler to later travels to places as varied as Tibet, Tuscany, Japan, or the Australian outback, Peggy Toole has always been enchanted and inspired by the romance of foreign and by-gone cultures. Though trained at Washington University and University of Michigan as a classical figure painter and printmaker, she soon found herself attracted to more decorative styles of art which incorporate brilliant color and bold shape with ornate surface design or texture. As Peggy has grown older and her family of felines has grown to a dozen or more, she now also draws inspiration nearer to home – from her love of flowers, animals and the beauty of the Rocky Mountains where she now resides.
Peggy Toole creates a glorious and ornate fabric in her Lumina 2 collection for Robert Kaufman Fabrics. The colors Scarlet Red, Yellow, Orange, Kelly Green, Aqua, Purple, Royal Blue, Cream, Beige, and black lightly gilded in Gold Metallic.
