In Untamed, Tula has combined elements so that each geometric print is paired with a floral print that highlights the same shapes. The colors include pink, berry, brass, turquoise, coral, white, and periwinkle and lavendar on a teal background, creating a striking contrast perfect for kaleidoscope quilting. The fabric is Hello Dahlia from Untamed by Tula Pink for Free Spirit Fabrics. The pattern is PWTP234.COSMIC color Cosmic. Finished dimension for all blocks sewn together is 24 X 32 inches. Each block measures 8 1/2 inches square when sewn. Our Fast and Easy Blooming Blocks© are cut from 100 percent cotton fabric. Each block in the set will be uniquely different due to layering the fabric in exact repeats to create a kaleidoscope effect by precisely rotary cutting them.They are specially cut so that the centers will lie flatter and so there is no bias on the edges of the block so they lie flat in your quilt. Peony for Your Thoughts from Tula Pink Untamed. The design showcases large, stylized peony blossoms, inspired by what Tula Pink calls her longtime “backup dancers” in her drawings. She explains, “They have always been a part of the drawing that I look forward to! It seemed to me that it was time to give these little backup dancers their time in the spotlight!” The blooms are set against a soft pastel checkerboard background, reinforcing the geometric–floral pairing that runs throughout the collection. Strong contrasts make the flowers pop vividly against the structured grid, while pigmented neon accents highlight petals and geometric details, creating a luminous, almost glowing effect.
